Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 12, 2026
pixbeam lets you send screenshots from your computer to your phone instantly. We designed the service to be anonymous: there are no account signups, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number. This policy explains what we do collect, why, and how you can control it.
Information we collect
Anonymous identifiers. When you use pixbeam we create random identifiers — such as an anonymous authentication ID, an account ID, and a short pairing code — so your computer and phone can find each other. These are not linked to your name or contact details.
Device identifiers. The desktop app derives a machine identifier from your computer's hardware so it can be recognized across launches. The mobile app registers a push-notification token so we can notify you when a new screenshot arrives.
Screenshots you capture. The images you choose to sync are uploaded to cloud storage so they can be delivered to your paired device.
Purchase and subscription status. Payments are processed by the app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play, Microsoft Store) and RevenueCat. We receive only your subscription status (for example, whether your free trial is active or has been paid), tied to your anonymous account ID — never your payment card details.
Technical data. Basic diagnostics such as app version, crash reports, and usage information may be collected to keep the service working.
How we use your information
- To deliver and operate the screenshot-sync service.
- To pair your devices using a pairing code.
- To send you notifications when a new screenshot arrives.
- To manage your free trial and subscription status.
- To provide support and improve reliability.
Storage and retention
Screenshots are stored in cloud storage and automatically deleted 7 days after upload. Anonymous identifiers and device registrations are kept only as long as needed to keep your devices paired, and incomplete or inactive accounts are cleaned up automatically. Payment records are retained according to the app stores' and RevenueCat's retention policies.
Third-party services
We rely on the following processors to operate pixbeam. Each processes data only as needed to provide its part of the service:
- Google (Firebase) — authentication, database, cloud storage, push notifications, and server functions.
- RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement status.
- Apple, Google, and Microsoft app stores — payment processing and subscription billing.
Sharing of information
We do not sell or rent your information. We share information only with the processors listed above to operate the service, or where required by law.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can stop using pixbeam and delete the app at any time, which removes data stored locally on your device. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us using the address below.
Children's privacy
pixbeam is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Continued use of pixbeam after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
